Trust! That seems to become harder and harder to do, right? People you know and people you don’t know. Why? BECAUSE people are faulty. They’re not perfect. They will let you down. Quite often, and likely MOST often - they will not do it intentionally. They’re not “out to get you” .. they’re just living their life doing their thing that is working (or is not working) for them.
When you come to realize that the One you can trust is always with you, you will receive such a blessing of peace. God will never let you down - IF you trust that what He is doing and allowing is what’s best for you. Even if you don’t think it is, it is. Even if you don’t like what’s happening - trusting that He knows what He’s doing causes the peace within you that the Bible speaks of. The peace that surpasses all understanding.
He knows. He’s got it all planned out. You worrying and trying to control it is not going to change it. It is only going to cause you stress which can cause sickness.
All this is inspired from these scriptures I read:
“But how can people call for help if they don’t know who to trust? And how can they know who to trust if they haven’t heard of the One who can be trusted? And how can they hear if nobody tells them? And how is anyone going to tell them, unless someone is sent to do it?
Before you trust, you have to listen. But unless Christ’s Word is preached, there’s nothing to listen to.”
This is from Romans 10:14 & 17.
So if you’re one who has been chosen to speak (the messenger)...don’t worry, because God helps us to speak. And remember that faith comes from hearing. Some will listen AND HEAR, some will not. Don’t preach at them. Don’t try to control them or the outcome. Just TELL of the LOVE.
My prayer for you who accept this calling -
God, open eyes for opportunities to see. Open hearts to receive truth. Open mouths to speak truth.
May the Lord smile upon you and be gracious to you in speaking.. and may He show you His favor and give you His peace.
“People may ask you of love and you can speak of God’s. They may ask of hope and through your words they may hear of the hope they have in Christ.
If not you, then who?
If not here, then where?
And if not now, then when?”
(Inspired by scripture and some quotes of notes written from my morning meditation with encountering peace). 🌷
